Authorize.net Setup
Authorize.net is no longer supported for new Enrollware accounts.
Enrollware has the ability to interface to authorize.net as an option for processing your student registration payments. Authorize.net is a "payment gateway" that provides the connection between the Enrollware application and your merchant account, provided by your bank.
We recommend working with your merchant bank to get your authorize.net and merchant accounts set up. Often times they can bundle the two services to simplify the process. It's important that when you are establishing the merchant account at your bank, that you specify that you require an authorize.net gateway.
Once you have these accounts set up, and you're able to log into the authorize.net web interface, you can complete the connection to Enrollware. To do this, verify that the three fields shown below are present in your Enrollware Site Settings page. If they do not show up on that page, send an email to support@enrollware.com requesting that we enable authorize.net for your account.
Once the fields are present on the page, you'll need to copy those pieces of information from the authorize.net admin pages into the fields, and update your settings.
The API Login and Transaction key can be obtained using the following steps:
- Log into the Authorize.net Merchant Interface.
- Click Account from the main toolbar.
- Under the Security Settings section, click API Credentials & Keys.
- Your API Login ID will be shown.
- To generate the transaction key, select New Transaction Key.
- Note: When obtaining a new Transaction Key, you may choose to disable the old Transaction Key by clicking the box titled, Disable Old Transaction Key Immediately. You may want to do this if you suspect your previous Transaction Key is being used fraudulently.
- Click Submit to continue.
- Request and enter PIN for verification.
- Your new Transaction Key is displayed.
The Public Client Key can be obtained using the following steps:
- Log into the Authorize.net Merchant Interface.
- Click Account from the main toolbar.
- Under the Security Settings section, click Manage Public Client Key
- If the Public Client Key does not yet exist, answer your security question to generate the key.
After updating your Enrollware Site Settings, make sure that "Test Mode" is not enabled in authorize.net and run a live transaction from Enrollware to ensure that your payment processing is running correctly. If the test transaction is unexpectedly declined, contact the Authorize.net support team for help in diagnosing the issue.
