Student Remediation Instructions

When remediating a student who has not achieved a passing test score for the class:

Enter test scores and change Status for students.  If a student fails the test and requires remediation you may identify this on the student scores page and finalize the roster.

The student’s class record will indicate that the student has been remediated.

After the student has successfully passed the course test, enter the new test score on the student’s record and change status to “Complete”.  Enter any notes or date in the Comments” section if the remediation is taking place the same day as the initial class.

The example below shows a student who remediated to a future class date and successfully passed the course test.

Remediated students show up on the roster of the original class they attended.  If they are set as remediate, they can be put into a future class for remediation but they won't show up on the future class roster.  They will only appear on the initial class roster.

We currently do not have a text field or calendar drop down for the remediation date so if a specific date is required other than a subsequent class date, we suggest you enter additional date information into the "notes" field on the class.

We don't really have a way of tracking the remediation date for the training site/affiliates rosters using the TC roster tool.  As we understand it (we're not AHA instructors) the remediation status is only temporary. It gets set as that after they don't pass the test and then gets updated to Complete/Incomplete at the later date. So, when the roster gets finalized in Enrollware the status is usually set to one of the other two.
